Herb Salt-Substitute
3 tbsp onion powder, 2 tbsp garlic powder, 2 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp dry mustard, 2 tsp thyme, 1 tsp oregano
1 tsp celery seeds, 1 tsp cayenne pepper, 1 tsp pepper
1 tsp lightly roasted coriander powder
1 tsp lightly roasted cumin powder
Mix all the powders together. Store in a container with a tight-fitting lid. Use as a salt substitute.

Peanut Raisin Bars
1 cup roasted chopped peanuts
3/4 cup raisins (seedless)
1 1/2 cups cornflakes
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
Put the butter, sugar and honey in a heavy saucepan. Simmer over medium-low heat for 3 minutes.
Remove and add the peanuts and raisins. Stir a bit. Add the cornflakes and mix gently. Remove the mixture into a greased tray. Spread evenly.
Cut into bars when cool.
